I studied at Glasgow School of Art with Interior Design as a first subject and Ceramics as my second subject.

Having worked in Interior Design for many years I did a second degree in Commercial Property and worked in property as a surveyor.

I have now returned to my first love of ceramics and have a studio at my home near West Peckham.

My other passion is gardens and plants. Much of my work is created with the natural environment  in mind.

I am inspired by beaches and shorelines of my native West of Scotland and nature and plants that surround me. I like to explore these influences  in clay texture and glazes. 

Much of my work is hand built although I do throw pots, plates and vases. Sometimes the two techniques are combined. Most of the pieces I produce are one off and unique.
